Plan your meals!
Try and plan your meals. Have a rummage through your fridge and freezer as well as your cupboards so you already know what you have and what you need to buy before you go shopping.
Check expiration dates
Check the dates on food regularly so that you eat foods that go out of date first and freeze foods that you won’t eat in time.
Measure portion size
By measuring portion sizes you will avoid preparing and cooking too much food which would have ended up as waste.
Try and produce a meal planner. Plan you meals for the week so you only shop for the food you need to cook these meals. You can also produce a shopping list for the meals you’ve planned so you avoid buying lots of food that you end up throwing away.
